Since this month's theme is about prophets, I want to spend a little bit of singing time, or either the opening or closing song, on "Follow the Prophet." I love the amazing prophets who have sacrificed so much and been so courageous in honoring our Father in Heaven over the years.
The children know some of the verses of this song already, but not all of them. I made a flip chart of some of the verses that I like, as well as to incorporate some other verses that are not in the songbook, but that I found in the Friend magazine.
Here's an example of two of the pages of my flip chart, using images from the LDS.org Gospel Art Kit.

I am LOVING your flipcharts that you have shared with me, but I have a quick question: I noticed that your flipchart doesn't have all of the verses and then has an added verse about Joseph Smith. I'm fairly new to ths calling, so is my primary book out of date--should I be teaching the Joseph Smilth verse? Also, do you by any chance have flip charts for verses 4-7? If so, would you be so kind as to share them?

Hi Jessica, thank you, I'm so glad you are enjoying the flipcharts. When I made this one about the prophets, I made only the ones that our Primary children didn't already know well. So, unfortunately, I do not have any additional verses. Unless your Primary President feels strongly about it, it's up to you which verses you want to teach for the Primary Program!! Also, if you don't want to make our find additional flipcharts, you could break it up by teaching the other verses with actions. I have found that of all the ways that I have taught the songs, letting the children help make up actions has been the best attention-getter, and best way for them to memorize songs quickly! I hope that helps. I'm sorry I don't have any other charts for you. I made this flipchart not specifically for any program so I just picked a few different fun verses.
